At Kerry's Gate Cabin, the deck faces out on a huge expanse of open space, with the horizon fringed in woodland. It's here, with this view, and the sunset splaying dappled light over you, you'll lie back on the loungers and toast to a stay well picked.
With the dulcet sounds of the working farm all around you, you'd never realise you're a 26-minute drive to Hereford or 20-minutes to Hay-on-Wye for book heaven. Or with all the soft rolling hills good for strolls, it's just half an hour to The Cats Back and The Black Mountains.
This is exactly the spot to slow down and take it easy. There's wifi, but you're better off reading a book on the sofa with an incredible backdrop or peacefully piecing a jigsaw together. When night comes, either use the telescope on deck to admire the stars or use your own sleepy gaze from the outdoor copper bath.
